New experimental study demonstrated ergonomic and performance benefits of SutureTOOL™

A new experimental study conducted at Nantes University and CHU Nantes in France, demonstrated that SutureTOOL™ significantly improved suturing ergonomics and efficiency compared with traditional needle drivers.

The study showed reduced joint displacement and muscle workload, faster suturing cycles, and adherence to EHS guideline-recommended closure parameters. Participants also reported high satisfaction with the device’s ergonomics, efficiency, and ease of use.

These findings highlight the potential of SutureTOOL™ to support standardized, efficient, and guideline-compliant abdominal wall closure while reducing physical strain on surgeons.
